Creative portfolio / digital art

Max Gogh

A visual portfolio for a digital art studio, organising animation, 3D, illustration and design around the work itself.

The task

A clear problem
to solve.

Let a varied body of creative work make the first impression while still giving visitors a clear way to explore it. Animation, 3D, illustration and design need their own paths within one visual identity.

My work: website design and frontend implementation. This case focuses on the site structure and presentation shown here.

The approach

From the idea
to the interface.

01

Give the work the first screen

A monochrome visual treatment and prominent artwork establish the studio’s character before the visitor reaches the detailed portfolio.

02

Organise by discipline

Portfolio categories separate animation and video, 3D art, 2D art and design. Each category provides a route into the relevant body of work.

03

Connect portfolio and services

The studio introduction and services describe the kinds of work available, while the portfolio supplies the visual evidence.

The deliverable

What the build
brings together.

A published Webflow portfolio with a distinctive visual opening, discipline-based navigation and a studio service presentation.
